The approach here is one of many and i’m not sure if it’s even the best way to go about this, but right now it works and i’ll try to explain why. To get proper workflows, running log-producing cameras, you have to use the log-correction LUT in the Creative tab. And this all shows how unfortunately Lumetri was designed on a limited basis. The film-stock/print-stock workflow is the next part of the process if used. First step in getting to someplace better is always to neutralize. Then you have a properly neutralized clip. to see from your scopes and image if you have corrected things properly. You have to feed them that corrective media. The log-corrective LUTs are built on correcting an already perfectly exposed/perfectly color-balanced image. If you're running a straight log correction LUT, the engineers all along have insisted those are all "supposed" to be in the Technical folder. That's if you're using film-stock type LUTs, Jim.
